Hero-Specific Strategies
Turret Management:
Placement: Hide turret at off-angles or high ground where it won’t be instantly destroyed.
Redeploy if turret is heavily damaged rather than letting enemies farm ult from it.
Rivet Gun:
Primary Fire for mid-range poke (projectile, aim for headshots).
Alt-Fire (shotgun) for close-range bursts (2 shots can kill a 200 HP hero).
Overload (+100 armor, faster fire rate):
Use to duel flankers, survive dives, or break shields quickly.
Molten Core (Ultimate):
Area-denial: coat chokes, points, or escape routes with lava.
Extra damage vs. armored targets.
Optimal Positioning & Ability Usage
Defend/Off-Angle: Torb can anchor the backline (anti-dive) or take a flank angle with turret covering an approach.
Turret as a Scout: If you hear it firing, a flanker is near; if it’s destroyed instantly, they likely are pushing that route.
Damage vs. Healing: Manage Overload cooldown (10s). Use it preemptively in brawls or reactively to survive a dive.
Heroes Torb Excels Against: Dive tanks (Winston, Doomfist), flankers (Tracer, Genji, Sombra) who struggle with turret pressure + shotgun Overload.
Heroes Torb Struggles Against: Long-range hitscan (Widow, Ashe) or airborne (Pharah, Echo). They can destroy turret from afar.
Team Compositions & Synergy
Tanks: Rein, Orisa, Sigma—barriers let Torb safely place turret.
DPS: Cassidy, Mei, or hitscan that can complement Torb’s mid-range damage.
Supports: Zen + Torb is strong for anti-dive, or Baptiste for Immortality synergy.
Weak if your team is full dive; Torb is slower and turret becomes isolated.
Oasis-Specific Tips
City Center:
Turret on high balcony, near statue, or behind corners covering point.
Beware snipers using jump pad to kill turret.
Molten Core to block point re-engagement routes.
Gardens:
Place turret on upper ledge or hidden in the bushes near point.
Spam orbs across mid, use turret to watch flanks.
Lava on point or choke to deny retakes.
University:
Tight corridors favor Torb: Overload + shotgun is lethal at close range.
Turret on raised platform or side rooms to cover point from different angles.
Molten Core can cover the entire point floor, forcing enemies off or securing kills.
