1. General Strategy
Use Corners & Cover: King’s Row’s tight geometry helps Torb. Hide your turret around corners or high ground so enemies must overextend or change angles to destroy it.
Deploy Turret Mid-Fight: Placing the turret after the fight starts forces a busy enemy to address a new threat. This “surprise” factor is critical on attack.
Reposition Frequently: As attackers advance, move your turret up. Don’t leave it behind or idle; ensure it’s always pressuring defenders from a relevant angle.
Contribute Your Own Damage: Don’t rely solely on the turret. Torbjörn’s Rivet Gun is powerful, especially with Overload active. Balance turret support with your own damage output.
Adapt to Your Team: If you have a brawl comp, anchor near your tank. For dive, cover backline flanks. Stay flexible and reposition when needed.
2. Turret Spots – Point by Point
Point A
Behind/On the Bus (Choke): Shoots defenders peeking main arch. Offers partial cover; redeploy if destroyed.
Hotel/Theater Side (Left): Covers flank and hits the point from behind. Great for distracting enemies if your team pushes main.
Statue Corner (On Point): Tuck turret behind statue or on a safe perimeter spot. Forces defenders on point into a crossfire.
Right Alley (Niche): Only use if flankers frequent that side; otherwise, focus main or hotel angles.
Streets Phase (A→B)
High Ground Catwalks/Balconies: Immediate turret placement on raised ledges punishes defenders contesting payload. Watch for enemy hitscans.
Corners with Payload Cover: Use the payload or corner geometry to shield the turret. Forces defenders to overextend into your team’s line of fire.
Keep Pace with Payload: Reposition each time you win a fight or round a corner, so the turret always influences the active engagement.
Foundry / Point B (Final Stretch)
Upper Catwalks: Controls wide sightlines over the objective, punishing respawning defenders. Risky if enemy has strong hitscans.
Around Tight Corners: Ideal in narrow halls or stair areas. Defenders turn a corner and immediately face turret fire.
Behind Payload in Overtime: A last-meter turret can deter or kill desperate touch attempts.
Use Pillars as Cover: Hiding the turret behind pillars forces defenders to divert attention from your team to deal with it.
3. Ability Usage
Overload:
Defensive: Pop it when dove or in close-range fights for extra armor and faster shotgun blasts.
Offensive: Use it preemptively to burst down squishies or tanks if you see a kill window.
Turret Deployment:
Timing Over Pre-Placement: Drop it mid-fight as a surprise.
Retargeting Trick: Hitting an enemy with primary fire forces the turret to switch targets—use this to focus high-priority enemies.
Cooldown Management: Manual destroy if turret is out-of-position or idle, so you can redeploy sooner in a better spot.
Molten Core:
Zoning: Carpet objectives/chokes with lava to deny space or flush out defenders.
Combo: Pair with Zarya’s Grav, Mei’s Blizzard, or other crowd-control ults to secure kills.
Stop Engagements: If the enemy rushes in, drop pools in their path to force them back or punish over-aggressive dives.
