Rialto defense validated a stronger version of the latency-hedge idea: build value before reaction time matters. RSK played through severe lag, reportedly ranging from 150–450 ms with only brief normal latency, yet finished 24–2–2 with 14,656 damage. Turret pressure, prepared angles, and Molten Core converted space while mechanical correction was unreliable. The team won despite enemy mitigation exceeding ours by 16,909, because our side converted nearly equal damage into far more eliminations and fewer deaths. The next test is not whether Torb survives lag, but how much value can be precommitted before contact so ping taxes fewer important decisions overall.
