1. More Mitigation: Red’s tank (PREVAIL) alone shows 7,737 damage mitigated, plus OBAMA at 1,888—together that’s over 9,600 total. Blue’s highest individual mitigation was 3,854, and their team total adds up to less than Red’s. 2. Higher Sustained Healing: Red’s two main healers (JOOSHUAZ at ~7k and ZUMBY at ~5.8k) together produced around 13k healing, while Blue’s support core totaled closer to 11–12k. That difference, though not massive, is enough to tip key engagements in Red’s favor. 3. Better Staying Power on the Objective: Even though Blue’s raw damage is comparable (and in fact slightly higher in total), Red’s combo of high mitigation plus good healing means they can survive longer on the point. Overwatch often boils down to which side can sustain through fights—Red’s numbers suggest they weathered Blue’s damage more effectively and capitalized on kills. In short, Blue’s damage output wasn’t the issue; they just struggled to finish off targets quickly enough or hold the point because Red had stronger tank presence and enough healing to keep everyone alive through the crucial moments. That edge in durability (mitigation + healing) often explains why Red ended up on top despite close kill counts.
