Oasis is a Control (KOTH) map with three distinct submaps—City Center, Gardens, and University. Each submap offers unique high grounds, jump pads, and environmental hazards you can exploit. As Doomfist, your goal is to burst down key targets, deny enemy approaches, and use your mobility to engage and escape quickly.
1. General Oasis Tips for Doomfist
Use Vertical Mobility:
All Oasis submaps have elevated platforms, ledges, or jump pads that boost Doomfist’s Seismic Slam damage (longer travel = higher damage).
Constantly look for ways to slam from above to catch enemies off-guard.
Beware of Ledges and Traffic:
On City Center, the traffic can be lethal if you get booped into the road.
On Gardens, there are map edges and pits.
Watch your positioning so you don’t get knocked off the map while you set up a punch or slam.
Rotate & Flank Smartly:
Control maps often revolve around the point. Flank around the edges to come from unexpected angles.
If you dive straight in, be prepared to save one ability (often Rocket Punch) to escape after a pick.
Build & Manage Passive Shields:
Hitting multiple enemies with Seismic Slam or Rising Uppercut grants you temporary shields.
This can buy you enough time to finish a kill or survive until your cooldowns come back.
Coordinate with Your Team:
On KOTH, team fights are quick and decisive. Let your allies know which squishy (supports/DPS) you plan to dive, so they can follow up or peel for you.
