New Junk City is a Flashpoint map featuring five unique control points. Capturing and holding these flashpoints is essential for victory.
Control Points:
1. Arena (Point A):
Description: A spacious central area, open with multiple entryways and elevated positions.
Torbjörn Strategy:
Place your turret on higher ground or behind partial cover to monitor multiple entrances. Use Overload during direct engagements for additional sustain.
2. The Ducts (Point B):
Description: A complex network of narrow tunnels and corridors, ideal for surprise engagements and flanking maneuvers.
Torbjörn Strategy:
Position your turret in hidden corners or near corridor junctions for surprise damage. Utilize Molten Core (ultimate) to cut off enemy routes during crucial team fights.
3. Refinery (Point C):
Description: Industrial-themed zone featuring tight corners and machinery, encouraging close-quarters battles.
Torbjörn Strategy:
Set up your turret centrally or overlooking chokepoints to maximize turret uptime. Overload is especially valuable here to survive close-range fights.
4. Junkyard (Point D):
Description: Open space cluttered with scrap metal and minimal cover, providing longer sightlines and fewer hiding spots.
Torbjörn Strategy:
Position your turret strategically behind debris or elevated scraps, covering sightlines and limiting enemy mobility. Coordinate turret and team positioning carefully due to the limited natural cover.
5. Bomb Flats (Point E):
Description: Flat terrain with scattered structures, challenging teams to carefully leverage cover.
Torbjörn Strategy:
Choose spots that provide broad coverage, forcing enemies into the open to destroy the turret. Molten Core can significantly restrict enemy positioning here, particularly around the point itself.
General Torbjörn Tips for Flashpoint Mode:
Turret Placement: Aim for positions that cover entry points and offer maximum visibility without being easily destroyed.
Overload Ability: Time Overload to win duels and survive ambushes, especially when contesting the point directly.
Molten Core (Ultimate): Deploy it on the point or critical chokepoints to deny enemy access and capture objectives efficiently.
