“Small package, big surprise.”
🎯 Objective:
Use Torb’s long-range primary fire and overwatching turret placement to lock down angles, punish squishies, and provide area denial while maintaining flexibility and surprise.
📍 Map Breakdown & Positioning Tips
First Point Defense (before the temple door opens):
Position: High ground above the archway (top right if facing attack spawn).
Turret: Place turret low near the left stair flank – it covers flankers and back-caps, draws attention away from you.
Playstyle: Long-range poke.
Use primary fire to tap enemies pushing cart or peeking the middle lane.
Molten Core if they cluster under the arch or rush the stairs.
🧠 Tip: Your turret will bait flankers or force early cooldowns. Let it distract while you get clean shots from safety.
Second Phase (open temple area):
Position: High ground left or right balcony (behind the small Buddha statue or top of stairs).
Turret: Flank turret on far right ledge (hard to hit, covers enemy high ground push).
Playstyle: Mid-range spam and zoning.
Pepper with primary fire when enemies go for high ground.
If they ignore turret, it punishes supports.
Overload and push up for burst damage when they’re distracted.
🔥 Molten Core suggestion: Coat the cart path or enemy retreat route near the top of the stairs for zoning or stagger kills.
Final Point (indoor tight halls):
Position: High ground rail or back corner for crossfire.
Turret: High ledge above cart route or hidden on side flank.
Playstyle: Area denial / choke control.
Use turret to discourage flankers from wrapping behind.
Use Molten Core in doorways or final corners to stop last-second pushes.
Overload and brawl when they’re low or grouped.
🧠 Keep rotating your position — Torb’s strength here is surprise burst and split focus.
🔧 Turret Placement Philosophy
Think “pressure valve” – your turret isn’t always for DPS; it’s for splitting attention.
Put it out of sight, not out of mind – where they hear it, but can’t easily kill it.
Ideal turret spots:
Behind walls on flanks.
On off-angles enemies must peek to deal with.
On top of geometry only vertical mobility heroes can reach.
💥 Combat Tips
Use left click (primary fire) at range – it has no damage drop-off and can chunk down squishies fast.
Don’t duel the frontline unless they’re low – Torb thrives when picking off supports or flankers.
Overload to chase down or survive dives.
Molten Core to control space, split pushes, or deny rezzes.
🧂 Counterpick Awareness
Watch out for:
Pharah/Echo – consider moving turret indoors or switching.
Widow – keep mobile, peek from off-angles.
Sombra – pre-Overload if she’s near, hide turret better.
🧠 Playstyle Summary
You’re not a bunker. You’re a trap.
Zone with turret, poke from range.
Let enemies focus turret, then punish their mistake.
Be a mid-range assassin, not a frontliner.
Save ult for space denial, not raw damage.
